A Few Lovely Things

  1. Jenny Slate on Talk Easy—last week, Jenny Slate made her 4th appearance on the podcast Talk Easy, and each of those appearances is as charming as the next.

    Favourite line from this appearance:
I direct all of my energy at this point in my life toward growth, comfort, making things beautiful and trying to sustain truth while also avoiding unnecessary damage.

2. If, like me, you’re a fan of Ewan McGregor’s Long Way Round series, you’ll be excited to hear that he and Charlie Boorman are back with another instalment, called Long Way Home.

This time, the two buds take on Europe. You can bet your bottom zeigfranc that I will be watching every episode.

3. Two things you may pick up on if you keep reading this blog: I’m obsessed with Europe, and I love YouTube. Naturally, I watch a lot of videos about people who live in Europe, move to Europe, or travel through Europe.

A little while back, I discovered a channel called Matheus, about a young man who buys and moves to an old, off-grid, stone house in Northern Italy.

The videos move at a slow pace—they might not be for everyone—but if you’re into a gentle flow, and dream of escaping to quiet beauty, I think you’ll enjoy it.

4. In completely other news, I tried on this jacket at COS yesterday, and now I can’t stop thinking about it. It’s the kind of little jacket you could wear as a top, and not just over something else. It feels more elevated than a regular shirt or sweater, which, in turn, made me feel more elevated.

If you’re interested, I’ve been sharing some of my favourite products, including this jacket, over on ShopMy.
